Award-winning Ghanaian artiste, Kofi Kinaata has shared his thoughts on the challenges Fameye faced during his recent performance in London, emphasizing the impact unprofessional DJs can have on live performances.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz, Kinaata noted that Fameye had rehearsed with the DJ as expected but suggested that unexpected lapses or technical errors could disrupt a show.
He told Andy Dosty, “Unless the machine freezes, we won’t know what happened.”
Nonetheless, Kinaata highlighted how DJs lacking essential skills, like knowing when to pause, skip or repeat tracks, could negatively affect a performance.
“There are some DJs who don’t even know how to pause songs. They’ll let you perform fully, so you have to give them signs or break intentionally,” he said.
He urged artistes to stay vigilant during performances to avoid being unfairly blamed for disruptions, noting that both DJs and band members could make or break a live show.
