Highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena has revealed personal details about his past struggles, likening them to the challenges faced by comedian Funny Face.
Speaking on Adom TV’s “Showtym” with host Sallyman Frimpong, the Adult Music hitmaker shared insights into his turbulent journey and the growth that followed.
Addressing speculations surrounding his past relationships and personal life, Kwabena Kwabena admitted that he had faced difficult times, coming dangerously close to a breakdown similar to what Funny Face experienced.
“I wasn’t any far from what happened to my brother Funny Face,” he disclosed, reflecting on the emotional toll those experiences took on him.
The singer expressed empathy for the comedian, who has been open about his struggles with mental health, saying, “Whenever I see the brother, I cry. Because when I close my eyes and reflect, I know… We should remember him in prayers.”
Meanwhile, Kwabena Kwabena credited the trying times for shaping him into a stronger person.
He acknowledged that the experiences had a significant impact on his growth, teaching him to identify the right people to surround himself with and to value those who truly supported him.
“There is always hope… I needed that experience for growth. It’s made me a better person and it’s made me realize the right persons to relate to and appreciate the right people around me,” he shared.
