Grammy-award-winning Nigerian music star Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems has revealed she was forced to wear baggy jeans so she could avoid seducing producers she worked with.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment News – www.nydjlive.com, Tems revealed she used not to like her body, as crazy as it seems.
“Crazy as it seems, I used to not always like my body but I just didn’t understand a lot of things,” she said.
Speaking on attempts to learn how to produce and record music, Tems narrated how her body was a distraction to a lot of people she worked with. She revealed how she messaged people, went to a lot of studios alone and met people she had never known.
“I want to be here to learn. My objective is to learn and if my being attractive is disturbing you and stopping me from achieving my goals, I’m going to help you. So when I go to the studio, I wear baggy clothes and I’m in my Alpha mode because I don’t want anyone to be seduced by me. ”
In as much as Tems believes people had a choice to either be seduced by her, she made attempts to help them.
“Yes, it’s your choice if you want to be seduced but when I’m in, it’s work and most of the time, it worked because they could tell she was in to work.”
Tems also spoke about wanting to fall in love.
