This follows rumours which surfaced that Nana Kwame Bediako received only one vote at a polling station in the Korle Klottey constituency where he cast his ballot together with his wife.
In a viral video on X, Ruby questioned the whereabouts of her vote, stating that she’s heartbroken because the system is not transparent.
“It wasn’t just me. I think it was the whole family that went. I’m heartbroken because I think the system failed us because where is my vote? I don’t know where my vote went,” she said in an interview.
Regardless, Ruby Bediako asserted that her family is happy and satisfied with the outcome of the elections and called on Ghanaians to rally behind the President elect, John Mahama.
“I think that the comment on social media it’s not just me. I think there’s a lot more people looking for his vote but we are all very happy. Ghana won and that’s the most important thing and let’s all celebrate our President elect,” she added.
Despite these rumours, Nana Kwame Bediako and the New Force performed incredibly for a young politician and first-time Presidential candidate securing third place in the presidential race with 84,478 votes.
