Prince David Osei, who had earlier declared his support for the NPP and Dr. Bawumia, expressed disappointment with the outcome of the elections but remains hopeful that the party will be more resilient in the next four years.
In a tweet on December 8, 2024, the famous actor noted that Ghanaians have made a choice as they “often crave a change every eight years.”
He maintained his decision to support the NPP and Dr. Bawumia because he believes in their “audacious solution-oriented policies.”
“I am deeply grateful for each and every one of you who bolstered me with your unyielding support. A hearty congratulations to our worthy rivals, NDC.

Although the Electoral Commission is yet to declare the official results, provisional results from the various polling stations have projected John Mahama of the NDC the winner of the Presidential elections.
The NDC per the party’s projections have also announced their win claiming they have secured 185 seats in Parliament. NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has also conceded defeat and congratulated John Mahama for the NDC’s victory.
